Introducing Demi Chef de Parti, Krishna Thapa.

It is with great enthusiasm that I am introducing another charming young chef from abroad. I’m so grateful for all the wonderful connections I have made over my years in the foodservice industry. I often find, when I am honest with myself that some of the hardest working people I have worked with are usually new immigrants to Canada. Let’s face it, that’s what Canada has been built on. Think about the benefits, new ideas and techniques these people have to offer you, and the dream you could offer to them. Let’s open up our homes to these honest, hard working people and make Canada the best country in the world. Here is Krishna’s story.

My name is Krishna Thapa, I am 26 years old. I was born in Kanglatongbi west Imphal Manipur, India.

Imphal West district (Pron:/ˈɪmfəl or ɪmˈfɑːl/) is one of the sixteen districts of Manipur state in northeastern India. As of 2011 it is the most populous district in the state.

I have worked as a demi chef de parti at the Classic Grand Hotel for the last 8 years. Previous to this I did my apprenticeship at the Katrina Towers and the E&K restaurant group.

Some of my work

Fruit carving

I’m from a middle class family, my mother and father are farmers. I have two younger brothers they study in class 8. I have excellent experience in 4 star and 5 star hotels and restaurants. I am very interested in cooking and like to roam and explore new concepts. I am a single man that has a dream to succeed in my life. After I have succeeded in my dream I want to help homeless and injured animals. I also really like to farm.
My hobbies are cooking and reading general knowledge books. I have a dream to work in Canada. However the process is difficult for working class Indian people.

If you have any opportunities available post vivid 19, I would love to hear from you.

I want to say a special thank you to Chef Brent for sharing my profile.

Thank you so much!
